tummy tuck

A 'full tummy tuck' (standard abdominoplasty) is for patients who have difficulty losing their protruding tummy, no matter what diet and exercise regime they follow. This procedure removes excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen and tightens the muscles of the abdominal wall. The result is a dramatic reduction of a protruding abdomen. The 'mini tummy tuck' is for contour problems below the belly button without as much loose skin as a standard abdominoplasty.

It can include the following components:

-
-
-
-

Liposuction
Shorter incision above the pubis with limited skin excision below the belly button
Tightening of the lower part of the muscles of the abdominal wall
Slight adjustment of the skin above the belly button when moving the belly button downwards
(there are no scars around the belly button)
