new treatments

CosmeticCulture is on the cutting edge of skin care technology and providing the best available products and treatments that deliver serious visible results. We have researched a volume filler and Radiance and found them suitable to be added to our expert offerings in medically based treatments.

volume filler
This is made from a synthetic biocompatible biodegradable sugar product that has been used for years in dissolvable stitches and implants. Therefore no skin testing is required. It is revolutionary in that it can deliver a non-surgical lift and sculpting result. It is one of the most minimally invasive ways to reshape and resculpt the face and the results are quite impressive. This filler can chisel your cheeks, define your jawline and reshape the areas around your mouth and restore the face’s natural fullness and firmness that tends to diminish with age. It works by being injected under the skin into the area of volume loss and provides an increase in skin thickness by bonding with your skins collagen. After a few treatments a visible result begins to appear and our aesthetician will determine how many treatments will be needed to achieve your desired result. The effects of this product can last up to two years and longer in some cases. The ideal candidates for this treatment are 40+ years with definitive lines and softening lines around the mouth and jawline or hollowing out of the cheeks or eyes.

radiance
This is a new injectable product for filling folds and lines. The advantage of this new product is its potential for longer lasting effects. Radiance is made up of calcium hydroxylapatite suspended in a gel (carboxymethycellulose). Because calcium hydroxylapatite is a normal constituent of bone, it does not require allergy testing as would be required with collagen. Calcium hydroxylapatite has been used in humans for a long time for prosthetic implants in dental, facial and orthopaedic surgery. Animal studies and the use of this injectable product in vocal chords and the bladder neck have shown that it remains soft without new bone formation when injected into the soft tissue. Other longer term studies from Italy suggest that Radiance shows promise as a new agent for facial contouring with no serious side effects and reasonable efficacy and durability.

Please note that the advertising to consumers of ‘prescription only’ items is unlawful as it constitutes an offence under s.42DL(1)(f) of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989. Every effort has been made to inform you about the products without actually naming them, in order to comply with the above restrictions.
